Economist Fazil Gasimov, who’s on starvation strike for the thirty fifth day, has been transferred to the medical and sanitary unit of the Baku pre-trial detention center-1, lawyer Rovshana Rahimova instructed Turan on the afternoon of July 19.
As well as, to F.Gasimov was visited by a consultant of the Baku Prosecutor’s Workplace, who took testimony from him in connection together with his assertion about torture on the preliminary investigation.

* Fazil Gasimov was detained in Türkiye on August 7, 2023 and dropped at Azerbaijan and charged below Article 204.3.1 (manufacture, buy or sale of counterfeit cash as a part of an organized group) of the Prison Code.
The investigation claims that he handed over counterfeit cash to opposition politician Gubad Ibadoglu, who was later arrested.
Since June 14, Gasimov has been on a starvation strike to protest towards unjustified prison prosecution and torture firstly of the investigation.
